The AI Agent plugin was introduced to provide powerful, zero-config AI capabilities directly within your WordPress dashboard without requiring a complex setup.
I would like to note that the plugin is completely passive unless you choose to use it. If you do not interact with the AI chat feature, it remains inactive.

Thanks for the update. I appreciate the fast response, and I can appreciate the excitement about rolling out a new feature for your customers.
My primary concern is that this was not adequately communicated in advance. In fact, I don’t recall seeing anything, I just stumbled upon it when editing a client site today. I’ve taken the steps to remove from all our clients sites, but will perhaps review it in the future.

Regarding the notification process, a dedicated advisory email was sent to our WordPress users outlining the introduction of the SiteGround AI Agent plugin as part of the upcoming WordPress 7.0 framework changes. That said, we understand that an automatic rollout, rather than a strictly opt-in approach, can disrupt administrative workflows and create additional overhead for site owners and developers.
