• Hello, I am having a very odd problem. Whenever I save a draft now, I get the text ‘Save’ appearing at the bottom of the post, or ‘SaveSave’ etc. This happens on my own blog as well as another WP website that I write for. I can’t figure out what is causing this. I delete the text, but as soon as I save the draft again, it’s back. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Ok, I tried that plugin, but now, after I reactivate the other plugins, the only part of the blog that shows is the header, nothing else! Even after I deactivate the Health Check plugin. What have I done wrong? 😕

Once you logout, the health check troubleshooting should reset.

I did, then deactivated it, then deleted it. No change. I’m using GeneratePress, if that helps. All the custom modules/plugins for it are active, but the website is just blank, except for the header and nav bar.

I got it back now. I deleted GeneratePress and then re-installed it and that worked. Just have to find which plugin (?) is causing the other problem now.

Good luck. It’s a tedious process.

I think I fixed the ‘SaveSave’ problem now, it seems to have been my Yoast SEO plugin. Some other bugs have disappeared now too. 🙂
