Hi our website is down, it says [an error occurred while processing this directive] when we tried to load the website.

    Any assistance is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Can you please key in those web links stated. You will know what I mean. It happens to their /wp-admin too. Thanks.

All that I get is a message from my Internet Explorer that says that “The page cannot be displayed”.

I have sent my concern to feedback [at] bluehost.com (the mail bounced back) and also the oline chat which told me to wait for 30mins. I couldn’t wait and closed it. Somehow you replied. I’m not sure how this query came to you either.

Have tried to send an email again. Let’s see if it goes through.

Ok, maybe you should just call Bluehost at (888) 401-4678.

Mine appears to have went through. Did you try calling them?

I will call them if I do not receive a reply. Thanks for the help thus far. Sorry for not knowing you are a volunteer.

Looking forward to hearing what they say!

Hi! Let’s clear things up a bit.

fpi_sg: The reason you’re getting these replies is because you went to our website at wordpress.org, signed up for an account, and made a post on our forums. We’re not BlueHost, nor do we have any connection to them, as such.

WordPress is a piece of free software that anybody can download and use. Many hosting services, such as BlueHost, offer methods to use and install it. And again, it’s free, you’re only paying BlueHost. šŸ™‚

    Now, to your actual problem:

The error message of [an error occurred while processing this directive] is caused by what is known as SSI or “Server Side Includes”. Specifically, some file on your site has something weird in it.

Look for any files in your site’s directory named “index.shtml” or perhaps “index.html” or similar.

Additionally, do indeed contact BlueHost directly, since they can see your site’s files, while we cannot. WordPress does not use SSI in any way, nor can it generate the [an error occurred while processing this directive] error message. Something strange is in your hosting account’s files, and it has nothing to do with WordPress in particular.

Got it. Somehow it got to org site when I was trying frantically yesterday to send out query to bluehost as well as WordPress. Thanks all. I’m not a web page expert, just want a web for my business. Not too sure of the techs. Will find out from bluehost. Thanks again.

Hopefully the email doesn’t bounce back again.

i can see you site ?

@fpi_sg: Like @malart said, your websites appear to be working again. I would assume that Bluehost fixed it for you.

Blue host fixed it in less than 1min. It says something got to do with the htacess file. Thanks, those who tried to help.
