website disappeared

I was editing a mailchimp subscription form/ widget and I now can’t log in, also my website has disappeared, Help!
-
It was caught by captcha, I’ve re-sumbitted
What’s the PasteBin URL to that page?
There are no errors in the code on that page. Are you sure you were editing that file?
I was trying to insert an image into Mailchimp subscribe form through Mailchimp which I didn’t succeed, and I had tried deleting and replacing the Mailchimp widget. It had a widget logic also as I this form is on the home page and I wanted to insert an image – the front page of a free e-book. As far as I can remember, that’s all I was doing at the time. I also tried refreshing to see would the changes show on the website.
Andrew, I should also add, my hosting company identified the widget logic as the plugin at fault
If you rename that plugin’s folder in the “wp-themes/plugins” directory that should automatically disable the plugin for you.
Just to clarify – if I go to wp content, then plugins, and then rename the widget logic folder?
Any particular type of name?Yes, rename it to anything. E.g. “widget-logic-old”.
Andrew, that much seems to have gone OK, but I am still in the filezilla, do I log out of this now, anything else I need to do?
I have just logged back into my website, back in business thanks!
I could not have done this by myself, thanks for the patience and assistance. Have a nice coffee on me!!!
Regards
PaulOne more dah! question, can I close filezilla now, it says changes will be lost if I close, but the website seems to be working fine now.
Filezilla won’t vomit into your website if you close it.
True, Andrew, True – Job done!
Hi, new question.
How do I remove sidebar from my posts page, I don’t need it? Is there a way of doing it without changing code – code makes me nervy!
Paul
