Do you have FTP access?
No, I don’t know what FTP access is
Ask your hosting providers for “FTP” access, which means access to your website’s files and folders.
Once you have it rename your plugin’s folder name (in /wp-content/plugins/) to anything and it will be deactivated. Then your website should be back online.
Hi Andrew, my host has advised me to get FTP through Filezilla, but my AVIRA antivirus is blocking the run/ Adware blocked
Feed this back to your hosting providers. They’re in a better position to help you.
Are you getting FileZilla from a site like Download.com? It is safe from that site. Just read the options as you load it and don’t load the exatra’s as they pop up. Just decline. FileZilla is good but be careful eleting unless you know and are sure.
Andrew, I’ve successfully downloaded filezilla and have entered pst etc, but not sure of where to go next?
Andrew, I have got as far as identifying the problem file, namely widget logic, I was trying to insert is_page(192) and I must have made a mistake as this is when I went off line. I have managed to copy the PHP file onto notepad. I take it if I can fix the code, copy the file back in/ overwrite the faulty file it should fix the problem. I know nothing about code and I can’t see the problem section.
Can you create a PasteBin page of the code with the problem: http://pastebin.com/
I’ve copied it into pastebin, named it paul oraw website – do I just ‘submit’?
Yeah and you can pass the URL of that page to us
Ok, I’ve copied in the page, the URL at the bottom of the page and submitted!
Thanks, could you post that URL here please?
That’s odd, are you sure you created a page here: http://pastebin.com/
