I am currently using AIOSEO in an environment where PHP version is 7.3.14.
The following warning is displayed on the WordPress dashboard.

Your site is running an outdated version of PHP that is no longer supported and may cause issues with AIOSEO. Please contact your web hosting provider to update your PHP version or switch to a recommended WordPress hosting company.

Note: Support for PHP 7.3.14 will be discontinued in 2023. After this, if no further action is taken, AIOSEO functionality will be disabled. Read more for additional information.

Does the last sentence of the Warning mean that the AIOSEO functionality will be completely disabled from January 1, 2024 in environments where PHP version is 7.3.14?
Other plugins will not suddenly become disabled even if support for PHP 7.3.14 ends.

I understand that it would be better to update the PHP version, but due to work-related circumstances, I will not be able to do so until the end of 2023.

    Hey @nishiyamaci,

You can rest on both ears for now. While we do show that notice in order to warn you of your lower PHP version, we have not fully decided yet to deprecate PHP 7.3.x (and older) at the end of 2023, but we might. Right now it seems unlikely though.

Either way, if we would decide to deprecate support for your PHP version, then the plugin will continue to work just fine. It’s just that you wouldn’t be able to update to newer plugin versions anymore because those would start requiring a higher minimum PHP version. WordPress will prevent you from updating/installing any plugin that requires a higher PHP version.

Let me know if that makes sense!
