I have a buddyboss community and have an events widget in the upper right hand corner.  Given that I need recurring events, I’ve been trying out other calendars that may do the trick without having to pay for the pro version just for that one feature. However, none of the others worked well for me.

Reactivating your events calendar, I noticed that suddenly the “View Calendar” got screwed up. Meaning when you click the “View Calendar” on the widget, the page is now empty.

Whereas before there were options to view pages by month (I think that was the default for me), week, or day, showing all the events of the community. Now it is empty.

I created a page that shows the 2 screenshots I am describing.

Btw, I am very new to WP and totally new to your events calendar.  So I have no idea how those ‘views’  (View Calender) got there originally — I don’t recall creating them; I think that was the default set-up.  I MAY have deleted that when I deleted some “inactive widgets” — I really am not sure.

    Would love your thoughts. Thanks

    Hi @evawp777 ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The “View Calendar” link on the Events List widget, by default, is supposed to direct the user to your default events archive URL (or slug), which you can find in Events -> Settings -> General (tab) -> Viewing (sub-tab) -> Events URL slug. If this is not what’s happening, I suspect the link may have been overridden — i.e., the code snippet found in our How to Change the ‘View Calendar’ Link in The Events Calendar Widget. Otherwise, I recommend you try regenerating your permalinks and then purging your site’s cache.

As this is beyond my knowledge someone else did the following and it did restore the page.

“All I did was refresh the permalink cache and re-save the settings for Events Manager when it came to the URL slug.”

However, this has created a new issue — as you can see in the image, the event now shows up in the “Recent Posts” widget in the upper left hand corner. It was never there before and it should NOT show there.
Do you know how/where to fix this? This is so strange.

    Hi @evawp777 ,

Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear of the continued difficulties.

I’m not sure what you mean, but the “Celebrate our Launch with a Live-stream!” has always been there, even with the first screenshot that you shared — https://globalleap.community/elementor-10634. Could you please elaborate?

Yes, I just figured that out. It was for another calendar I tested that requires events to be created via a post. So this is completely separate. Thanks for your help, got this resolved!
