Hello Adam,
and thank you very much for your feedback!
Can I please ask that you give me (us) more detail about what you meant by “the horribly dated interface in the options screen”? – this will help us improve the plugin for our (future) users.
Regards,
Gabriel
Hi Gabriel,
Sorry for the delay in replying.
I mean mainly the ‘page within a page’ style. It’s a very narrow width, and the borders, inner menu and extra header banners make it look more like an iframe than part of the CMS.
I would try and use WP styling, make the individual pages tabs, and put your logo and upgrade advertising over on the right had side.
I couple of other good plugins to look at for style would be Advanced Custom Fields by Elliott Condon and WP SEO by Joost de Valk, both of which heavily use WP styling, meaning that the look and feel of their plugins blends in to the version of WP that the user is on. It is also very good for adjusting to different screen sizes and device types.
I hope this helps!
Adam
Hi Adam,
Thank you for your feedback, these are all valid points.
Just wanted to let you know that the plugin UI has been completely redesigned in version 2, now being heavily based on default WordPress looks and styling.
Would love to hear your impressions 🙂
