  • Hi @dicassp

That’s odd. The plugin, upon activation, creates the Pending Vendor, and the Vendor role.

Edit a user, any user is fine (wp-admin > Users, pick one, click Edit). Do you see the Pending Vendor and Vendor role as options?

If the answer is NO, then go here and follow these instructions:

    https://gist.github.com/bentasm1/e77154b90fa1cc743450

If the answer is YES, that you do see the roles, could you please clarify your question a little better for me? I’m not sure what “vendor role on functions part is not showing” actually means… Describe it best you can! 🙂

    Cheers

    Hello Ben,

    Thanks for your quick answer.

I am sorry if I didn’t make myself clear, but that’s what it is happening: I can’t see Pending Vendor and Vendor roles as options.

When I go to user > edit > change role, the only options that I have are admin, customer, author… the basics ones, but Pending Vendor and Vendor I don’t have.

Just followed the instructions on the link you send me, but it didn’t work as well 🙁

One thing that just crossed my mind, my theme is not compatible with woocommerce. When I installed woocommerce plugin, I had to do the third party theme configuration. Now it is working complete fine.

Do you think that this might be a problem why I don’t have the Pending Vendor and Vendor options?

    Thank you very much!

    Cheers

    One more information.

When I uploaded the plugin and activated it, I had a message that the pluging archive had problems with the archive (I have no idea what it means, that’s the message that showed up after activating the plugin).

Anyway, I refreshed the page and activated the plugin again and it worked out.

Do you think it means something?

    Thanks

Chances are, you followed the WooCommerce instructions and created a “woocommerce.php” file. If you did, WC Vendors will not work on your site. That trick is simply a 60 second hack to trick your theme into supporting WooCommerce. But unfortunately, it doesnt add all the hooks/actions/filters which most WooCommerce plugins use to display data and do stuff.

You will want to find a 100% compatible WooCommerce theme for your site. 🙁 Storefront is a WooThemes theme that is free. You might give that a shot or search around for another.

I always recommend starting from scratch if you dont already have a live site. Install WordPress, WooCommerce, WC Vendors, and then your theme. Start tweaking and tinkering from there and build an epic store. 🙂

    Cheers

Ahhhhh really???? Can’t believe it. I was so happy with all the reviews about WC Vendors.

Yes, I followed the woocommerce instructions and created a woocommer.php. Anyway, it seems that i’ll need to look for another theme, so I’ll be able to use wc vendors 🙂

Thank you very much for your help, Ben.

    Cheers
