Usergroups

We have Support Candy with the Usergroups addon (and a few others) on a site, currently a staging site while we upgrade for a client.

However. We have 1 category for 1 usergroup (which is great). But we need the other usergroup to only be able to view 3 categories. The addon only allows 1 category per usergroup. Is there a way around this at all? or any update with this expected in it soon?

The way their business works really needs all 3 categories into 1 but it seems its not possible in the way its shown.
