    Hi,
I want to give the editors (or maybe just one person) the permission to view, export and delete the mails. I cannot find any settings to change permissions, and I tried giving permissions through the Members plugin, but nothing happens unfortunately.
Is there a way to give this permission without making them an admin? (which I really don’t want to do)

You can do it using the flamingo_map_meta_cap filter.

    Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Could you give me a bit more info?
This is what I have done so far:
    – I have changed the ‘edit_users’ to ‘delete_pages’
    – added this as a snippet with Fluent snippets
    – then I get the message:
The function flamingo_map_meta_cap is already declared elsewhereSomething on this site already declares that name: another active snippet, your theme’s functions.php, or a plugin. PHP cannot declare the same function or class twice, so activating this snippet would end in a fatal error.
    – so I change the name (on 3 places, is this correct?)
    – the snippet is accepted, and activated
    – but unfortunately: still no difference, editors still can’t access Flamingo.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks!

Changing the necessary user permissions requires PHP knowledge and a deep understanding of WordPress roles and capabilities. Otherwise, I advise you not to do it, as it can be super risky. I advise you to hire an experienced engineer to do it for you instead.

never mind, I am switching from CF7+Flamingo to FluentForms where I can give the permissions to specific users as is needed.
