User logouts not being tracked

    Log out tracked in WP Simpe History log

    I tried to log out on my local WordPress installation and that worked fine. A “Logged out” message was shown in the event log.

    If this does not work for you my best guess is that you have a plugin installed that modifies the log out behavior somehow.

    Thanks for testing. I will look deeper into the website structure to understand where the logout is being performed. I had assumed that a “logout” is just a logout but fairly new to WordPress troubleshooting.

    My start would be to look for “membership” plugins. They often do things that may modify the way users login or logout. Also be sure that users actually do log out. Some users just use the same computer and browser and just stay logged in…

    Good points. Logins are being tracked in Simple History, just not logouts. Will look at some code I know the developers are using to see if they affect the way logouts are handled.
