Is there anyway to use this with Go Daddy website builder? We currently have a website with them and would love to be able to use this feature. Unfortunately we don’t have any code savvy people to work on this. Any help with getting started on this would be great. We really need a simplified way to help people find meetings.

    Thank you!

  • Hi Russ,

I’ll follow up on the mmail you sent yesterday, but the answer here for other users is that this plugin does require WordPress to run, so it can’t be installed by itself in GoDaddy Website Builder.

We do offer some free help to AA service entities. There are generally three options:

    1. keeping your existing site as is and setting the plugin up in a subfolder running WordPress, eg https://yoursite.org/meetings
    2. in a subdomain, eg https://meetings.yoursite.org/
    3. or redoing your site in WordPress. In this case we’d install it in a subdomain temporarily while we helped you with the meetings and the website basics, while you’d pick a theme and get the rest of the content set up.

It can’t hurt also announcing at an intergroup meeting that you’re looking for someone with WordPress skills to help out locally with your new project. They don’t need to know coding per se, and I think you could be surprised that there are people out there who can help.
