Update notification will not clear

    This plugin had been working just fine for the past two years. With the most recent update, the following notification will NOT disappear from our Dashboard:

    Google Analytics Dashboard for WP has been updated to version 4.9.2. For details, check out the documentation page and the plugin’s settings page.

    We have updated the plugin, deactivated and reactivated, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing has removed this notification.

    We have also been experiencing lots of issues with the data not appearing properly, both in our Analytics and on the plugin through our dashboard. Our traffic wasn’t showing for hours the other day, and today we have experienced the same issue. We had visits recorded and they were removed ove the last several hours, so now our visits and pageviews for today are showing about 10% of what they should be showing.

    We have uninstalled this plugin in favor of simply adding the UA tracking script on our header page.

    I’m curious to see the results with the code inserted manually, but the issue described indicates a problem with the website accessibility or traffic rather than a plugin issue.

    We have updated the plugin, deactivated and reactivated, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing has removed this notification.

    Have you tried clearing the page cache, minify cache, CDN cache, as described on plugin’s FAQ page?

    I’m having this same issue. This message will not go away. I’ve cleared all the caches. I’ve clicked into the messages. It keeps coming back.

    “Google Analytics Dashboard for WP has been updated to version 4.9.3.1. For details, check out the documentation page and the plugin’s settings page.”

    There should be an easy way to turn off the message that doesn’t rely on the state of the user’s cache.
