Also shows up in Chrome as:
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘post’)
Overall, this error shows up when trying to purchase tickets. Customers cannot purchase tickets at this time.
Update:
Disabled all litespeed caching, error still persists.
Error is claimed to be fixed in Tickets Addon 5.3.1 update, still happening at latest version for me.
Reference to documentation from Events Ticket website:
✅ Stripe checkout problems with Tickets Commerce.
Status: Fixed in Event Tickets 5.3.1
Description:
For some users, it is not possible to complete checkout while trying to sell tickets via Tickets Commerce. They see JavaScript errors in their console and possibly the following errors when they are trying to pay:
- “Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘post’)”
Workaround:
Update to Event Tickets 5.3.1
Affected Products:
Event Tickets
Internal Ref.:
ET-1447
Update:
– Tried all PHP versions down to 7.2 – none fixed the issue.
– Added an older fix provided for this same issue by Juan, it did not change anything. Reference: https://gist.github.com/juanfra/de2714d3bc6522a46226598fa0e182c2
Added note:
This all worked absolutely fine when I first switched over to Stripe for at least a couple days.
Then there was some sort of I/O spike yesterday and a fault within my hosting instance as shown via cPanel. Since then, it seems this error is showing persistently. No idea if it’s connected.
Thanks to Gladys, the issue is now fixed for now after I reverted to an older WordPress version – version 6.1.
I hope that this issue is resolved for WordPress 6.4 in the future.
