Unable to update plugins
-
I’ve been having increasing difficulties to update plugins day after day since several months ago until about a month ago i a completelly unable to update.
The problem is, i click a pluging and update it; then the site goes down for manteinance, and stays that way for about ten minutes. But when the site goes up, the plugin is still not updated. It happens every time. Last time i “updated” was when WordPress autoupdated to a new version and that somehow updated all of the plugins as well. But since that i’ve ben just piling up plugin updates cause i can’t do anything about it.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Please install the health check plugin and report back its findings: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
All all directories writeable?
I installed it and this is what it says https://ibb.co/SsCx6dk
Tho i don’t know why it says i don’t have HTTPS when i have a plugin for that.
As for the directories thing i have no idea what is that, i’m pretty noob in this.

You did not answer that.
But i did…
>>As for the directories thing i have no idea what is that, i’m pretty noob in this.<<
Go to the DEBUG tab. Click the button to copy all the contents and paste them here.
Being “noob’ is no excuse for not looking carefully.
I would say it is when i don’t know what i’m been asked for or where it is.
As for the debug tag, i tried to go there more than a dozen times and everytime i got a “Page not found”. I’ll have to try later in case it’s due to traffic.
Well, i tried for a whole day at different times, about 50 times, and always either “page not found” or “server error”, so i don’t think it will work.
I tried to update my php since it was one of the recomended things in the image, and after doing it my site died. Now even if i change back to the original php, the site is still dead.
So i think i’ll have to reformulate my question into: How do i get my site up again? XD
I’ve managed to turn all plugins off to access the site and make the Health check. I don’t know if it will still be useful since all plugins are turned off. I’ll try now to turn them on to see if it works. I paste the results of the check

The problems you were having with just the healthcheck plugin make me thing there’s something wrong with your hosting. Please contact GoDaddy support.
I’ve been activating the plugins 1 by 1 and i’m more or less sure the problem is Jetpack. The page went totally ok with all plugins activated except that one. In fact the plugin had for some reason dissapeared, and when trying to reinstall it, it didn’t let me cause “the directory already exists”. I deleted the directory via FTP and intalled the plugin again, and then the site went again into super slow mode, and going into “page not found” all the time.
That’s good to know. What features of Jetpack were you using?
There were quite a few that i wasn’t using and were activated; Carousel, contact form, enhanced distribution, post by email, shortcode embeds, sitemaps or wp.me. I’ve ticked them off, and it seems to be giving less errors, tho the site is still pretty slow.
Do you even need Jetpack? I love Jetpack myself but if you don’t need it…
You don’t need to run JetPack for Akismet to work either… once you have the Akismet API key, Akismet will continue to work.
And my other question is… Jetpack relies on the Rest API extensively. You mentioned shutting down certain Jetpack features which those you listed probably do need the Rest API. Did you see anything like a warning in Health Check about the Rest API having a problem?
If you’re running (and using) the Block Editor then the Rest API is probably working just fine itself but Jetpack might be having troubles reaching it still.
I noticed also, you have a lot of unused themes there. I’d pare those down if I didn’t need them just as ‘good housekeeping’ though I doubt that is causing your problems. Since many of those are Automattic’s themes it might be possible… but I doubt that.
Same with unused, unneeded plugins.
BTW: Love the graphics. And I’d keep that present ComicPress theme.
One more suggestion… Run this issue by Jetpack support!!!
