Turning off Standard Tracking

Hi! I originally posted this question, and didn’t get to reply to it in time before it was closed out.

I have a new question — If I turn off “standard tracking,” will the plugin continue sending both ecommerce revenue AND event data to Google Analytics?

I am hoping that if I turn off “standard tracking,” then I can move my GA pageview deployment to GTM. But I would like the plugin to continue sending all the revenue AND event data to GA just like it is now. I assume this is what will happen if I turn off “Standard Tracking” but want to double check first before I break something 🙂 Thanks in advance!

The expectation is that it disabling Standard tracking will not impact eCommerce data.

Would you mind specifying — Does “e-commerce data” here include the event data that the WC plugin sends to GA as well?

Also I just realized one of my clients is using the Google Analytics PRO plugin for WooCommerce — Where the regular plugin says “Standard Tracking,” the Pro plugin has an option that oddly just says, “Enable Google Analytics tracking” — Do you know if these both refer to the same thing? Or do I need to post this question in a separate forum?
