Hello GiveWP Team – I really like your plugin. Everything feels very smooth and well built. However, one thing I’m struggling with is tracking successful donations using the Meta (Facebook) Pixel which is very important to us.

The issue is that we want to use the multi-step donation form, and with this setup everything happens on a single page, from entering donor details to completing the payment. Because of that, even after adding the Meta Pixel code, it does not properly capture the donation confirmation event.

We have already tried using PixelYourSite and the Facebook Pixel plugin, but neither of them solved the problem.

Could you please let us know how we can configure GiveWP so that Meta also receives the conversion event after the donation is successfully completed?

Our main goal is to run conversion-focused ads on Meta, and for that we need our website to send Meta the correct signal only when a donation has actually gone through. With WooCommerce, this kind of tracking is easier, but with GiveWP I’m not sure what the right method is.

This is the main issue we’re facing at the moment. Your plugin is really great overall, but this feature is very important for us. Could you please guide us on this? Also, is there any free or paid add-on available that can help us achieve this properly?

    Hello @darwp12 ,

Glad you reached out, happy to help.

Presently, we do not have a clear-cut way of integrating Facebook’s Meta Pixel. Our old Facebook Pixel add-on was discontinued, as it no longer worked with Facebook’s newer Meta Pixel.

We have a feature request for Facebook’s Meta Pixel in here —
    https://givewp.featureos.app/p/support-for-facebook-s-meta-pixel.

While I do not have a timeline for those features, we have added this support ticket to those entries internally so you can be notified. Our feedback site is designed to be the single source for all updates on particular issues. If any movement has happened, it will be displayed there for both the public and our team internally.

If you’re using custom code or a third-party plugin to integrate the Meta Pixel into your donation workflow, we won’t be able to support any issues that arise from that setup.

However, here are a few tips that might help:

    1. Do not bind any actions to the donation button on the form. Not all donors complete the process, and some payment gateways like (Mollie and Authorize.net) can take 24–48 hours to process certain methods like bank transfers.
    2. The best place to add tracking scripts is on the donation confirmation page. Make sure the script fires once per user session to avoid it triggering multiple times if the user refreshes the page.

If you’re using custom code, our Visual Form Builder also has a new option that allows you to redirect to the donation confirmation page, that might help you in accomplishing this:

I hope this helps to point you in the right direction! Let us know if you have further questions 🙂
