My Google Analytics tracking code is already inserted in my pages.

So what happens if I install this plugin, which says that it “Inserts the latest Google Analytics tracking code in your pages”?

  • Hi,

If you do, you should remove the other tracking code or disable tracking in this plugin. For details see the documentation page.

If I choose to disable tracking in this plugin, do I do that before activating the plugin, or after I activate the plugin?

If I disable tracking in this plug after activating the plugin, will the plugin have already added (or tried to add) tracking code on top of or in addition to the tracking code that is already there? (Which could be a problem.)

If I disable tracking in this plugin, will the plugin still work like it is supposed to work?

    Hi,

Authorize it and then disable the tracking.

Please note that by doing so, you’ll be missing all the tracking features like Custom Dimensions, Events and so on.
