Hi Devs,
By default, All in One SEO Pack will use the Post Title as the Title tag if you don’t enter anything in the SEO Title field.
There is a setting for Autogenerate Descriptions under All in One SEO, General Settings, Advanced Settings – http://semperplugins.com/documentation/advanced-settings/#autogeneratedescriptions
Meta Keywords are no longer used in modern SEO. Google hasn’t used them since 2009 – http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/09/google-does-not-use-keywords-meta-tag.html
Hi and thanks for the quick reply. Its good to hear that the Pack Autogenerates the Descriptions and I did have that selected within the options.
What made me think that it was not working was because of the following…
I have many posts set to draft and when I view them as a list within the wp-admin (‘posts > all posts > drafts’)
The SEO Title, Description and Keywords all empty? Should they not appear populated at that stage?
Thanks,
Devs.
P.S. I was referring to the keyword option within the plugin and not meta keywords 😉
Hi Devs,
The plugin currently does not display the autogenerated title and description. This feature will be in the next release though.
The keyword options in the plugin are Meta Keywords. That’s why we added a Disable option a couple of years ago because they hold no value so 99.99% of people can just disable this feature and not se the fields.
Okay thats great and thanks for the feedback!
