Hey @thelackof, thanks for reaching out, but as far as I can see, your thumbnails are back! 🙂
The thing is, our plugin works with WordPress to index all your images again, in order to extract your thumbnails (to put it simply). But this process is being run in different periods, which is why it can take some time to get them back.
But alas, things seem to be back in order now!

I’m having same problem with thumbs changing out to default image after I upgraded this plugin. My developer has also contacted you and took your advice to roll it back to previous version. We did that some weeks ago and the featured images were restored, but I accidentally upgraded last night and the bug is still not fixed.
1) how to do I roll back to previous version?
2) when will you be able to fix it?

Hey Megan, thanks for reaching out & please accept my apologies for the late, late reply (I’m afraid this summer holidays took its toll — sorry)!
As for our problem — the only recommendation I can give you right now is to switch back to the previous version of our plugin, which seemed to work flawlessly for you. When are we going to fix it? Well, that’s a good question, since we’re battling with different problems right now, which take us longer than we initially thought, but I can assure you we are working as hard as possible to bring you newer features, as well as fixing those that are not working properly.
It’s also worth noting that this problem is a bit harder to tackle than we expected, since there are so many different blog layouts, code modifications and other settings that are making our work so much difficult. But as I said before — we are doing our best! Please bear with us!
