This slideshow requires JavaScript. error

Please help me with that error.
In the frontend where I put [gallery type="slideshow"] the error This slideshow requires JavaScript shows up.
I successfully install and active Jetpach plugin and also activate Curousel feature in wp dashboard.
Develop own theme.

@itssimplemr: your theme is loading two versions of jQuery. You’ll need to change your theme and/or fix the theme to use one version of jQuery.
Tim, thanks. Not interested in changing the theme. Oddly enough, this issue popped up when I applied the upgrade last week. Before that it was functioning fine. Where is the issue, specifically, in header.php or functions.php?
Glad i am not alone on this. I have now contacted the theme creator and publisher as I have not been able to pin point exactly where the jquery is being loaded and what version. So far they have made it worse and now the homepage slideshow has stopped functioning and my jetpak slideshow still shows the same errors. I have lodged an issue with them and i hope to get it rectified ASAP and advise on the method to fix. Hopefully i can get report back with good news soon.
We are using the free version of wordpress to create a site for a memorial. I keep getting the “This slideshow requires JavaScript” message. Can you help us get this slideshow to work or give us other suggestions.

RegardsHello, I ended up undoing all my work with my blank theme and redid twenty twelve since im on a deadline, it obviously had something to do with enabling jquery and javascrip, but for the life of me i cant figure it out.
@faheemraza I had a look at your site, and your theme seems to be loading an old version of jQuery instead of using the version that comes bundled with WordPress.
You can find out how to solve this issue in an earlier post in this thread.
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/this-slideshow-requires-javascript-error?replies=24#post-3943327This issue seems to have just started happening since we installed WP Total cache today. I don’t want to get rid of the plugin without a fair chance, but we’ve worked really hard on our slideshows, and they are an integral feature of our blog. Now some of them are just gone! Our site is http://turtlestravel.com and one post with an example of a page with broken slideshow is http://turtlestravel.com/dont-skip-gyeongju-south-korea/
@turtlestravel The slideshow seems to work on my end at the moment.
If you still experience issues, could you please start your own topic, as per the Forum Welcome, and post some screenshots of how the slideshows look like on your end?
You can use services like http://snag.gy/ to post pictures here.
Hi Jeremy and I am hoping you can help. I am having similar javascript problems since installing GoodNews V4. I seem to be the only experiencing this which is why the owner is a bit slow to respond I am sure.
My site is http://technologyx.com and the issue includes:
1. Galleries that will not appear (This slideshow requires JavaScript)
2. The main menu will not expand anywhere but the home screen;
3. The tabbed ‘Popular Posts’ widget ONLY works on the home screen; and
4. The News Ticker only works on the home screen. Also, I have been through the process of reinstall several times, disabling all plugins and reenabling, including Jetpack. My browser is firefox and this is same on all browsers and I am using Supercache.
Would appreciate any help or ideas you can assist with!
Thanks ahead and I can also be reached at Les (at) thessdreview (dot) com
