Hi –
Please tell me which testimonials should appear at the top.
This way I can compare what I am seeing to what you’re seeing.
It’d be worth clearing your browser cache too. https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
Hi @lizkarkoski
The following testimonial was created the last, thus I would like it to appear at the top:
“Masha Allah…. Nice step. May Allah help this mission become a ” Sadqa Jaria” for all those who are involved and supporting this noble cause. 12-03-19”
That is not a Testimonial, it was left as comment on the Testimonials page.
You’ll need to now take the content of that comment, and add it as a Testimonial: https://en.support.wordpress.com/testimonials/
Hi @macmanx
That’s exactly what has been done, plz see the testimonials on the page, above the comments section. If it’s still not clear then you can take the example of the following testimonial, it should be at the top but its not:
“I will INSHALLAH contribute and spread this cause. 12-03-19
― Zahid Nisar”
The only instance of “Masha Allah…. Nice step.” that I see on that page is a comment, not a testimonial.
Did you indeed create a testimonial yourself following the guide at https://en.support.wordpress.com/testimonials/
That is strange, can you see all testimonials on this link: https://theclearevidence.org/testimonial/
I have cleared WP Rocket’s cache as well, let me know if you are still unable to see the testimonial on https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/
It looks like clearing the cache is what you needed to do.
By default, Testimonials are displayed in order by date added, with the most recent first.
Are you sure you have not modified the order via the shortcode? https://en.support.wordpress.com/testimonials-shortcode/
As what I need is the default order of the shortcode thus I have changed the shortcode to [testimonials columns=2]
And I have cleared the WP Rocket’s cache. Still, the order appearing here https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/ is not the order which is appearing here https://theclearevidence.org/testimonial/
And what made me think that it is not the issue of the cache is the fact that if I change the number of columns in the shortcode, I can see the change immediately.
On https://theclearevidence.org/testimonial/ the testimonials are in a single column. Have you edited the shortcode to do that?
https://theclearevidence.org/testimonial/ is the testimonials archive page, generated by JetPack automatically, with latest post at the top, its not generated by a short code.
I believe my colleague was referring to https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/
Are things in the right order there if you use just
[testimonials]instead, with no columns declaration?I have changed the shortcode to [testimonials] but still, the order is wrong, you can have a look at https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/
Please send me a screen shot of what you are seeing at https://theclearevidence.org/feedback/.
I see that there is on column of testimonials. Did you intentionally change that from the previous 2 column set up?
It’d also be helpful if you can post the entire shortcode here using the code brackets so it isn’t stripped out.
Then I can test what you are using to see if there’s an error.
Yes, as per @macmanx recommendation, I have changed the shortcode to [testimonials], with no column declaration but that also did not fix the order.

I am using the Shortcode block of Gutenberg to enter the shortcode, screenshot: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1foagojP5G-EGwz8b6E2IfDczCCwy5cOB
