Hi!
Sure, we can help you with that.
First you’ll set the “time” to be used the same way as we use goals in soccer, for example. But of course in opposite order (so less time is good).
Everything from now on is done under SportsPress > Configure
You’ll add the time to the event result and player metrics.
In event outcomes you’ll add the different places (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th…)
Then in your table columns you’ll add points with the formula as you need:
1st * 25 + 2nd * 20 + 3rd * ….

I have a similar knotty problem in that I too am trying to configure Sportspress to report on our racing calendar (Awesome plugin by the way).
I have to confess to being a WP n00b and after messing around with the settings for a whole day and not getting very far (venues are all set up and I managed to get some interaction between data sets but that about it) I’ve finally capitulated as I’m going round in circles.
We have driver champs across 8 different classes and at 14 different venues throughout the year.
At each event, and for each class, points are awarded to drivers determined by finishing position based on the number of laps gained across two heats. (currently omra.co.uk but soon to be moved to a WP site with the management of the stats via Sportspress if you need to go look see).
The venues bit is pretty straightforward but Im struggling to get my head around how I should set up the classes/events/points and league tables.
Can you please give me some pointers?
Many thanks
Phil
Hi Phil!
Sure we can help you with that. But please open a new topic, it’s always the way to go 🙂

Will do Roch and thanks. I was reluctant to start a new thread as some forums don’t like it!
I’ll repost my question in a new thread.
Cheers!
Actually here are WP we very much like it, so it won’t get confusing 🙂
Thanks a lot!
Kind Regards,
-Roch
