    When customers tick subscribe box what actually happens in their account?

    Because there are 3 options there:

    Subscribe to our newsletter
    Unsubscribe from our newsletter
    Receive order updates

    While ticked or unticked box – these are only two options?

    @bondmedia thanks for writing in – In order to properly answer your question, who’s account? The customer account OR the store/admin account. When a customer checks a box, when subscribed, they remain subscribed. IF the customer is NOT subscribed, and check the box they are subscribed. IF a customer wants to remove themselves from the newsletter distro, you should have a mechanism in place to do that (via email/site/text/contact form). If a customer does not check a box during check out for an order, they will receive transactional emails for the order details but no marketing materials. Did this help?
