    Hello,

Since the last plugin update, since 21.11.2022, I have structured data issues on Google Search Console:

New Videos structured data issues detected
New Breadcrumbs structured data issues detected
New Review snippets structured data issues detected

Exactly from the last update. I had these problems only before using the plugin. So now the plugin is not working properly – please fix it!

    Thank you & Regards,
    sorozat.plus

I would be happy to help, but the above information is not enough to determine the cause of the issue on your site. What is a URL to an example post/page with an issue?

It is not about 1 or more posts/pages, it is the whole site. Here are 2 examples of the url’s with issue:

    https://sorozat.plus/online/outlander-az-idegen-5-evad-1-resz
    https://sorozat.plus/cobra-kai/online-sorozat

2 days ago, until I updated the plugin, everything was all right 🙁

It is any possibility to undo the plugin update? Can you send me the older version of the plugin?

Looking at https://sorozat.plus/online/outlander-az-idegen-5-evad-1-resz, Google shows an invalid breadcrumb list item that is not provided by WPSSO – it is being added as microdata markup, probably by your theme. You should disable that microdata markup to avoid Google errors. See here for more info:

I always had this issue on my site, because my theme. That’s why I use your plugin. Your plugin repaired all these schema structured data errors (breadcrumbs, reviews, videos) – until now. I can’t manually repair 36.176 pages, don’t you think?

I just want the earlier version of the plugin, that worked fine and I never had schema errors with it!

Probably the new version is conflicting with my Yoast Seo, or theme, or something. The old version was good, without conflicts, please give me back that version!

Themes use templates, so you don’t need to edit the HTML of all webpages to remove the incorrect microdata markup, you simply need to fix the templates. You can also activate the WPSSO SSM add-on to strip the incorrect microdata from your webpages, but fixing it at the source is always recommended.

I can’t remove the incorrect microdata markup. It is a very strange theme, I couldn’t find it, searched for it for a very long time. That’s why I uploaded this plugin!

“You can also activate the WPSSO SSM add-on to strip the incorrect microdata” – I already did this!!! I use this plugin from more than 1 year, so I know how to set it up correctly!!!

Why don’t you want to understand that now it is conflicting with something???

I really need the older version of the plugin (under 21.11.2022), where from can I download it?

I am loosing all my traffic because these structured data errors. The plugin handled them all, perfectly, until the last update.

Can you tell me how to undo this update, please? Or can you send me the old version of the plugin?

Since you’re using the WPSSO SSM add-on, and it sounds like it was stripping the microdata from your webpages previously, but now it isn’t. It sounds like something is interfering with the WordPress ‘template_redirect’ action. The WPSSO SSM add-on includes an HTML comment at the bottom of the webpage with information on its operation, but you seem to be using a plugin/service that is removing HTML comments. If you disable that plugin/service, we would know if WPSSO SSM ran and what it was able to do.

If there are any issues with the plugin, we can address the issue and release a new version. At the moment, I’m not aware of any issues with WPSSO Core or its add-ons.

    Solved, thank you.

I found an earlier version of the plugin and installed that, after removing all data from the updated plugin.

The bad part is that I can’t update the plugin, never again, because now I am afraid to do this. My average 5.5 position turned down to 8 🙁

If we identified the issue on your site, then updating would not be an problem.

“but you seem to be using a plugin/service that is removing HTML comments. If you disable that plugin/service, we would know if WPSSO SSM ran and what it was able to do.” – I am not using any of them. I changed the FB comment option from my theme to WP comments, I don’t know if this helps. But there are not showing any comments option, nowhere, even they are allowed.

So I don’t know what to do about this…

The comments option disappeared a long time ago, together with the ratings – these are also not showing anymore, from more than 1 year already. At that time your plugin started conflicting with some theme options, with every update – and the ratings disappeared, the comments too…

The best version of the plugin was the 1.5 year before version (for me) – that didn’t conflict with theme, Yoast or anything. And after the many updates, started conflicting with almost everything 🙁

HTML comments are code, nothing to do with the WordPress comments feature. If you use the “View Source” option in your browser (right click on the webpage), you can view the HTML, including HTML comments that are delimited by “<!–” and “–>”. You must be using somekind of HTML optimization plugin or service removing HTML comments. If you disable that, we can have more information to determine the source of the issue on your website.

BTW, what you’re looking for is an HTML comment like this one at the bottom of the webpage HTML (using the “View Source” feature of your browser):

    <!-- WpssoSsmFilters::strip_schema_microdata v2.13.1 = 31 matches removed in 4 iterations and 0.001304 secs -->

I understand now. It was an SSL plugin having hide my wp option or something like this. But when I removed that plugin, I checked also the all data remove option – so I don’t understand why it remained, partially.

I still don’t know what other plugin can make this 🙁

My structured data errors are more and more every day. I don’t know what to do…

I enabled the HTML comments option in my Yoast plugin, can you check it again, please?
