• Hi,
It would be useful having some options to organize files in server. May be allow the user to set a custom path. For example:

    /uploads/buddydrive/user_type/user_login/filename.pdf
    /uploads/buddydrive/xprofile_field_data/user_id/filename.pdf

So we have a clear files tree which we can download for backup, view, send…

  • Hi,

Well, it’s complicating the way files url are stored in DB. I’ll need to check this.
    Thanks for your feedback.

If all files are stored in the same folder, file name is changed if another file with same name exists. It may be confusing for users.

What about a default behaviour like this?

    – uploads (wp folder)
    – buddydrive (folder)
    – user_id-user_login (folder)
    – ALL USER FILES
    – user_id-user_login (folder)
    – ALL USER FILES
    .
    .
    .

So existing file names only get changed if file name and owner match.

No path customization allowed by admin.
    Is it easier?

I guess it Will Be easier once BuddyPress 2.3 Will Be released.
