    Jetpack Mechanic 🚀

Currently there is a disparity between the stats of the .org and .com sites – why?
What can we do to ensure that we do not loose any of our stats?

The 2 sites are not related; you will consequently see 2 different sets of data, one for your old WordPress.com site and one of your new self-hosted Jetpack-powered site.
If you contact us via this form, we can merge your WordPress.com site stats into your new Jetpack site if you want.

How will the JetPack stats be affected if we delete the .com site?

They won’t. Since the 2 sites are different, you can delete the WordPress.com site without affecting your readers on the self-hosted site.

However, instead of deleting the old site, it might be best to redirect the WordPress.com site to the new self-hosted site. This way, search engines and readers will be redirected to the new site, instead of just seeing an error page when trying to access a post using your old WordPress.com site address.
