I am evaluating this to replace Media File Folders Pro, because it does not support having a staging environment under my main domain and allow updating across both staging and production sites without having a new license. Will Filebird require a 2nd license. If it does, once I move a staged environment to production, will the transition be automatic?

    Hi @kenvanlife ,

Thanks for your interest in FileBird!

Please note that you can only register the license on one site (main site), which will give you access to the auto update function inside WordPress.

However, you could still use the plugin on your staging site without registering the license, and it gives you full access to the full functionality of the plugin, except that you need to manually update each time we push out a new version.

    Kind regards,

I have the same issue. Auto updates used to work on staging site under the main domain. Tried to manually update today’s release. It is blocked by Wordfence for unsafe operation. I’ve already had to update manually with the last release and it did not encounter the same problem.

    Hi @midpath ,

I guess you are using the PRO version, right?

If Wordfence blocked the operation, please use the Wordfence settings to allow it to proceed, because the file is totally safe, as long as you had downloaded via codecanyon.

Or, just deactivate Wordfence temporarily while you update, then activate it again once you are done.

    Thank you!

    Kind regards,
    -Bruce-
