    Hello,

we use your plugin and wanted to translate it with Weglot.

Unfortunatley the Weglot-Tool cannot tranlsate it / detect it as a “feed”, because this line is missing at the beginning. This ist what the weglot support tells us:

Can you edit your original feed and copy-paste this line at the beginning:

    <feed xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom&#8221; xmlns:g=”http://base.google.com/ns/1.0″&gt;

And make sure to close the tag </feed> at the very end

This process will allow Weglot to detect that the file is a feed that needs to be translated.”

Our feed starts with “<products version=”1.0″ standalone=”yes”>” in the first line.

I cannot find the setting to change that.

Thanks for your help in advance, kind regards
    Sascha

    Hi Sascha,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

Unfortunately this is nog something we will add to the header of the feed as that will change it for all of our 90.000 users and is not according to the Google requirements provided by Google. You can imagine we do not want to risk the Google feeds of our 90.000 users to break.

    Hello,

thank you very much for your fast reply!

Is it possible to add this as an “optional checkbox” in your plugin settings? We already installed all feeds and we are very happy with it. It would be sad, if we need to switch to another plugin now because we can not find a workaround.

    Kind regards
    Sascha

    Hi Sascha.

We will add your feature request on our list of user requests. When we receive multiple similar requests from other users for this feature we will consider adding it to our plugin. Unfortunately we cannot add it just because one user, you, is needing it now.

Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved and/or our assistance is no longer required I will close this topic for now for housekeeping reasons.

Do not hesitate to reach out to us again when you need our support.
