    Hello,
I am using this plugin first of all in wordpress on my local pc. The wordpress there is in multisite installation, like my online site. So, at first:

Is this plugin generally developed for multisite installations, too?

When publishing under facebook, I noticed that some of the publishing content has the post title like this:

    “site not found | mydomain.com”

When I click on these links to view the post an error 404 is shown. The permalinks shown are further the standard permalinks, like “?p=54953”. Although I have as permalinks /%postname%/ set.

Is such a behaviour known in general or is this behaviour only on multisite installations?

    Dear lot of questions,

thank you for your message and your feedback. You can use Blog2Social to publish your blog entries on several selected social media profiles and pages. In case of Facebook and Pinterest you can switch between your private profile and all the pages and pinboards you created on these networks.

I give the issue “404” to our IT so they can figure out, how to resolve this as quickly as possible. Just as we have a solution I will inform you about our results. Please be patience until then and feel free to contact us if you have further questions and/or comments.

    Dear lot of question,

first of all we wish you a happy new year.

I get some answers from our IT division. Is ist possible, that you run your WordPress version on your local pc? That could be the reason, why facebook can’t access your local running WordPress.

Regarding the “404” issue: we will solve this problem with our next update. This could also be the trigger for the facebook-issue. Once the update is online I will inform you immediately.

Please be patience until then and feel free to contact us if you have further questions and/or comments.

    Happy new year!

Hm, yes I am using this plugin currently on local machine only. But when I click on the published link in facebook, it forwarding me to my online site. It´s because I have imported the original posts from my online site to the local machine.

I have tried out altogether three links:

    – all of them forwarded me to my online site,
    – one of them was forwarding me to an existing link with permalink /%postname%/; the page was correcty visible,
    – one forwarded me to a 404 page with permalink ?p=54953 (site not found | mydomain.com on facebook),
    – the last forwarded me to a 404 page with permalink /?p=54948, too, also with “site not found | mydomain.com”, but it had an image on facebook from my original, locally imported post

    Dear lot of questions,

it would be helpful if you can give us the url you want to post on your social media profiles and the complete permalinks ?p=54953 and ?p=54948. It could be possible that another plugin interferes with Blog2Social. If you don’t want to post the url and the permalinks in this forum you can send us the informations via mail to blog2social[at]adenion.de.

i finally installed your plugin on my productive site. It shows the posts when clicking on them on facebook and twitter, but it doesnt support wordpress short links like

    http://wp.me/p3upve-eID

It shows the posts links e.g. as

    domain.com/?p=54953

    And one more questions:
Does your plugin publish posts on facebook websites?

    Hi there,

I am not able to find a “add new topic” button, so thought I would chime in on here as my question is related.

When I copy and paste blog links to Facebook, a photo and description either do not show up at all, or I am receiving a “Page Not Found” link. Am not sure what went wrong, but would love to chat about a solution!

    Thank you,
    Molly

    Dear mjzornow,

thank you for your message. To solve your issue we need a few more information from you. Maybe you could give us some screenshots which show your exact problem?

    Hi!

Thank you so much for your response. When I write a blog post, copy the link and paste it to my Facebook business page, it would link up and show a nice link/cover photo for that post. Now, when I paste, nothing loads or I get a “Page Not Found” error . When I post just the link itself, it does link to the correct page of the blog, but I would like the option to add that photo + description as seen in the first screenshot.

Also, I am getting tons of spam. Is there a plugin or something you can recommend to make it stop?

Thanks so much, looking forward to your response. (I also have screenshots ready, but am not seeing a place to attach those?)

thank you for your answer. I share the information with our IT division immediately. It would be nice if you could send us the screenshots to blog2social[at]adenion.de. Thank you very much for your help.

It would be helpful if you could tell me where you receive the spam.

    Dear flieger28,

thank you for your message. We update Blog2Social at the moment to improve the performance for the users. For the time the update is running Facebook is not connected with Blog2Social. The upgrade will be over next week. The publications on your social media profiles can be affected by the upgrade.
If you have further questions, do not hesitate to ask.
