Where are you seeing this error? In the back-end editor or in the front-end? How are you building your gallery – using Gutenberg or the Classic Editor? If you are using the Classic Editor what is the shortcode that you are getting?
I’m using the classic editor within wordpress. I click on the plugin icon, then select smugmug and then tried default user and other user. Both methods present the 404 error. I’m not sure where to look for the short code you speak of. My user url for smugmug is https://scdesigns.smugmug.com/. Thank you.
An error code 404 generally means that the page being looked for was not found – in the context of SmugMug this generally happens when the user information was incorrect.
But before we start going too far down that road, let’s try something simple. It doesn’t look like you have any private photos, so let’s first eliminate the authentication token from your setup. To do so, simply go to Photonic → Settings → SmugMug → SmugMug Settings → Access Token (for Back-end / Server-side Authentication), and delete whatever you have there. Retry creating the gallery from that point.
Okay there was nothing in the “authentication token” areas.
OK, what is the username you are providing? Just scdesigns, without anything before or after it?
That was the issue. I had the entire URL (https://scdesigns.smugmug.com/) instead of just scdesigns. Thank you kindly for your help. Problem resolved.
Great! Glad to know that it worked.
