It’s very possible that the Sticky Menu plugin and the smoothscroll one have a conflict of some sorts. Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell since I will need to see it in action.
Can you share a link so I can see it for myself and verify?
Is there a way to contact you directly? The site is still under construction so it is not open to the public but I can give you access with you IP address.
@soymarketing No problem! Just hit me up through the contact form on my web site at http://www.senff.com
Problem solved offline by making sure the Smoothscroll script would be loaded AFTER the Sticky Menu script.
Great support, thanks again π
Hi,
seems the same problem happens on my site too. Can you please share how you change load order ?
Thanx,
B.
@basic777, I’ll need to see your site to see if the solution that worked for @soymarketing would work for you too. Can you share a link?
tweakapix.com
thank you for the fast response
There is a “scroll to top arrow” in the theme that is not affected so there is hope π
Which plugin/script are you using for the smooth scrolling functionality there?
Easy Smooth Scroll Links by Jeriff Cheng
… and while your on it, what is the best way to disable the fixed container for mobile ?
Issue is that on small screens it’s getting overflowed by the content on the page and i insist on having full width for this design so padding the body is not an option.
There is a known conflict with the Easy Smooth Scroll Links plugin. Someone else who had the same problem reached out to the author of that plugin, but we haven’t heard back yet. See this other thread for details: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/another-plugin-doesnt-work-with-this-plugin
I recommend to use the plugin Page Scroll To ID plugin instead, which seems to be (more) compatible with Sticky Menu or Anything.
To disable the sticky menu for mobile screens, I would say that entering a value in the “Do not stick element when screen smaller than” option in the plugin’s Settings screen, and set it to 480 or 576 something else that works for you.
thank you, that was a good suggestion
