Slider alt and title issue

The slider only pulls in the title of an image. If in my media library I have two different entries for title and alt – when I look at the source code of a page I only see the entry for the title repeated for the alt tag.
If in the media library I have no alt tag at all it still populates the source code alt with the title.
If I have title=”no” it removes the alt as well.
I would like the alt and the title to be treated as different things and have control over both.

On closer look
I have been using the slider with lightbox selected – this wraps the img with an tag. The image title gets pulled into but also populates theirrespective of what is listed as the alt in the media library. Not really ideal.
My work around for the time is to put what I want for the img alt into the media library entry title field and use the following to hide the during mouseover:
$( “.su-slider-slide a” ).removeAttr( “title” );
I want the alt in the code and I don’t want the title showing on mouse over.
