Just started to work on a .org sketch theme and I am having serious doubts I can use the portfolio featured as in the .com version
I loved the tiled mosaic preview and the slider … I simply can’t start to work on this.
    I guess I am missing something … what? 🙂

You’ll need the Jetpack plugin to get some of the functionality from WordPress.com, including the Custom Content Types module for portfolios and the Tiled Galleries module. The plugin will also give you access to the Featured Content slider.

Let me know how it goes.

thank you for your reply. I installed the plug in but I can’t enable the custom content under the writing setting. I tried to de-install the previous version and reinstall the plug in. I am stuck again. thanks

Could you please double-check that you’ve activated the Custom Content Types and Tiled Galleries modules in your Jetpack Settings?

Go to the Writing tab to activate Custom Content Types: https://cloudup.com/cEOtGTTJhjh

Go to the Appearance tab to activate Tiled Galleries: https://cloudup.com/cVAd-KNW7r3

I can’t enable the custom content under the writing setting

this step is not needed, since Sketch enables portfolios by default as long as the correct module is active in Jetpack.
