When I try to add Analytics to the Site Kit I can add all the permissions from my Google account ok, on the last page where it says: Confirm your choices after clicking Allow it just goes back to my homepage.

If I go to Site Kit again it now says:

    Issue accessing data
You need to reauthenticate your Google account.

I have disabled every plugin even the themes plugins and it still has the same problem.

How can I get this to work?

@matt83dw Can you try the following and inform me if you are able to proceed with setup?
    1. Disconnect the Analytics module
    2. Open a browser incognito window
    3. Attempt connecting the Analytics module using the same browser window, logging into the associated Google account when promoted.

Let me know if that allows you to proceed with setup. If not please share your Site Health information.

It’s still having the same issue.

Just to clarify, I can set up the search console with Site Kit but when I try and enable Analytics I have this issue.

@matt83dw Can you share your site URL and I can see if there is anything I can identify which may be impacting setup?

    Sure, please see below:

@matt83dw Thanks for the update. Are you able to temporarily deactivate any web application firewall or ModSecurity at host level before attempting Analytics module setup once more?

    Thread Starter matt83dw

    (@matt83dw)

Do I need to disable CloudFlare as well?

    Plugin Support James Osborne

    (@jamesosborne)

@matt83dw If you can temporarily deactivate your CDN or purge cached content while attempting setup it’s worth a try. As opposed to just disconnecting the connecting the Analytics module please reset Site Kit in full before then connecting the Analytics module.

    Thread Starter matt83dw

    (@matt83dw)

    That worked, Thanks!

@matt83dw Great news, thanks for the update. Did you have to reset Site Kit in full or did you just purge cached content?

    Thread Starter matt83dw

    (@matt83dw)

I disabled my CDN, mod_sec and firewall, disabled all plugins and then installed Site Kit fresh in incognito mode, and it worked, although I think just disabling mod_sec would have done the trick.

I have re-enabled everything now again and it still seems to be working. I’m just waiting for the stats to start populating and once they do (confirming it all works) I’ll close this post.

    Much appreciated.
