Data error in Search Console: User does not have sufficient permissions for this Search Console Property

Recently, it keeps showing up like this on the site kit. The administrator is myself, but when I press the permission request, the Google 400 error page appears, and I tried to reconnect the site kit several times, but it’s the same

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out @lucetevee. If the administrator mentioned is your own user account, what may have happened is after initially connecting Site Kit with one Google account, you may have used another Google account to connect another service (ie. AdSense). If so, the plugin would switch to this AdSense related Google account, and permission errors can occur if this Google account doesn’t have permission to the related Search Console property.

What you can do to try and resolve this is disconnect your Google account from Site Kit before then connecting once more (using the Google account you last used to connect any of the services).

Let me know if you have any questions with this. We also have a guide on the plugin website in relation to this that explains it in more details.

I think it’s solved by disabling and deleting the plug-in and logging in again

    Thank you

Thanks for the update @lucetevee. In that case if you’re seeing a Search Console permissions error after disconnecting Site Kit and connecting once more, please share a recording of your experience and I can check this with the team or investigate further. You’ll find instructions on disconnecting here.

You can use a service such as Loom or RecordIt to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.

What may also be happening is your connect Search Console property references a specific version of your site (either http or https), while your connected to the opposite version. I mention this as it looks like the http (non secure) version of your site is accessible (see screenshot). If you’re able to ensure your http site redirects to https, this may also resolve what you’re encountering.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
