I have put a Share Collection on a post. When I click on the Facebook button, the Post Title and some text from the bottom half of the post appears in the Facebook popup. There is an image on the post that I would like to be “shared” as well. Is there any way to specify within your plugin the actual content that will be shared? If not, it seems like what ends up being shared might be really disjointed. Thanks

Facebook usually decided by itself what is to be shared from a webpage. They try to get the title, first lines of text and the most obvious image from a page. So having a well formatted page is the first step.

You can influence this by using ‘open graph’ tags in your theme. Most SEO plugins ( Like Yoast SEO ) already do this so I’d recommend to using that. With that plugin you can also override the default selection for the image and select something you want yourself. I think usually the Featured Image would be shared, so you can try setting that.

Great – thanks for the suggestions.
