You should be able to uncheck it in “Screen Options”.
Thank you for your answer, but the fact that I can’t do that, because the “Screen Options” is not active. This is because as I understand SEO news is causing a conflict.
2.3.10.1 has been released to fix this issue.
But, how can we remove this via the plugin?
I have a PRO license so at least make it a PRO option if nothing else.
Request: I moved from Yoast to AIOSEO because of the insistence on taking over the dashboard (amongst other things), please don’t go the same way.
Hi Lee,
Thank you for the valuable feedback and thank you for being a customer.
We’re aware of many users not liking that plugin taking over the dashboard, and definitely don’t want to go down that route with AIOSEOP. We’re trying to provide the best experience possible for users, which includes removing some unneeded options from the UI in favor of API hooks.
Currently, this can be removed via the Screen Options. If that isn’t enough, what would be your preference? An API filter hook to copy/paste in functions.php? A checkbox in the options menu screen? We’d love to hear any suggestions and preferences.
Hi Michael,
Preferably a checkbox in the plugin options will suit most people – maybe a PRO option?.
For now, I’ve added a function to remove it but, of course, a lot of people won’t be able to do this.
My main reason for not displaying this panel is that clients like a clean, clutter free dashboard.
Thanks for the speedy response.
Lee, we’ve opened an issue here for discussion. If we can get exactly how to best handle this sorted out, we’re hoping to have a point release for this and a few other issues today (or tomorrow at the latest).
We’d love any additional input you have.
