• I was excited about trying this plugin first but when I added my first simple rule and tested it, there appeared to be more work to be done on it. My rule was simply to apply a 10% discount on total checkout price if bought 2 or more items. The cart had two different items (one of each) but the rule only applied to the last item while strangely increasing the price of the first item in the cart !!! There were more buggy scenarios but I shall post them on the dedicated plugin page when time allows.

I disabled the rule for now and may uninstall the plugin all-together and rely on coupons till happy with further testing this plugin or others.

The above applies for the free version but I don’t think it should matter. Thanks for the efforts and for the free version and I hope it can be bug-free soon so I can be happy using it.

    Hello Adam

Thank you for the review. Really appreciate it.
Would it be possible to share your discount configuration with us ?
May be there is a mis-configuration.
Also, were you using any currency switcher plugin or one more discount plugin?
It would be great if you could send us the additional information for troubleshooting via our support form at https://www.flycart.org/support

    Looking forward to assist you.

    Thanks

@flycart Hi there and thanks for your response.
Sorry I didn’t have much time to report on your page. No I don’t use a currency switcher. The only extension I use at moment is “Product Price by Formula”.

    Here’s my setup:

    General tab: Priority 1
Condition tab: Apply to All Products.
Checked “Check this box to count item quantities in cart cumulatively across products”

    Discount tab:

Min Quantity Max Quantity Adjustment Type Value
    2 4 Percentage Discount 10

Min Quantity Max Quantity Adjustment Type Value
    5 9 Percentage Discount 15

Min Quantity Max Quantity Adjustment Type Value
    10 20 Percentage Discount 25

    Hi

Thank you for the detailed information.
The discount is set as a Price based discount rule – that is the discount is adjusted right at the product price level.

We had tested the Product Price by Formula plugin with our plugin and checked its code.
Since it interacts with the product prices, it uses the same WooCommerce hooks to override the price as we do. As a result, it leads to conflict, which is the reason for the results you have got.

Unfortunately, we do not have a compatibility with the Product Price by Formula plugin at the moment. Also, it does not seem to offer a hook or a method that will help third party plugins to handle the prices after the “Product Price by Formula” plugin processed it.

We will write to the developers of the plugin to consider including a method or a hook that other plugins can use in their upcoming releases.

I am so sorry that at the moment we do not have a compatibility with the Product Price by Formula plugin.

    Thanks
