I have not been able to find a work around, but I’m glad I’m not the only one having a problem. If there is any headway with this please let me know.

I’ve got the same problem. This is a good plugin but I can’t get the search to work either.
Even tried it on the previous version of WP. 3.4.2

I just upgraded and now my search isn’t working either. And I really need a way to remove country and state – all of my listings are in the same town.

Countries and states can be edited in the plug in fields settings.
How? I can only see where I can change the field title, not how to remove them.
use country field as city
remove 40-60 lines in widget_search.php
