    Hello all,

I am currently experiencing an issue within CPT UI where I am trying to add a taxonomy ‘Gaming’ to two different post types.

    Please see example below,
    https://www.domain.com/petitions/gaming
    https://www.domain.com/guides/gaming

When going to the plugin and clicking ‘add/edit taxonomies’ I’ll create a taxonomy ‘gaming’ under petitions and then repeat the same process but for guides CPT, then a error message will appear saying ‘slug already exists’.

However, as petitions and guides are two different post types with Hierarchy settings set to true, why is it that I cannot add the gaming taxonomy to both post types?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Thomas

When creating the taxonomy, you should be able to assign it to multiple post types all at the same time. That would accomplish what you’re trying to do. You’re not wanting to register it for each post type individually.
