I use Breakdance Builder. When I upgraded to the new version of Site Reviews, the star rating for my products disappeared that I had just under my product titles. I saw that you added new breakdance elements, so I added the rating summary element to my single product page template. I shut off everything but the “stars” and the “rating”. It’s not showing anything at the moment on any page that has a review. I tried toggling the options for “limit reviews to assigned pages”, but that didn’t help. Not sure if there are other settings I need to check.

BTW, the current reviews box and the submit a review box all work perfectly fine on the single product page template. But the Rating Summary element also disappeared where it is usually showing just above my reviews. I have the Rating Summary element set to only show when there are reviews. It doesn’t show anything when there are reviews. But, if there is no review, it shows the alternative text, “Be the first ….”.

What do I need to do differently to make the Rating Summary show up correctly in both spots?

Which version of Site Reviews did you upgrade from?

    Two things come to mind:

    1. If you upgraded from an old version of Site Reviews, go to “Site Reviews > Tools > Migrate Plugin” and click the “Hard Reset” button.
    2. If you are using a caching plugin, then flush your cache. If you are using it to minify your CSS, JS, or inline above-the-fold CSS, make sure that is also flushed.

If it is still not working after doing that then:

    1. Make sure that reviews are enabled in the “WooCommerce > Products” settings page.
    2. Make sure that the WooCommerce integration is enabled in “Site Reviews > Settings > Integrations > WooCommerce”.

It’s possible this happened due to the WooCommerce v11 release being unsupported. Update Site Reviews to v8.2.0 to fix this.

Thank you for the guidance. I found the integration on the woocommerce end was off. When I turned it on, the ratings showed up on product cards in all the archive pages.

The site reviews elements for breakdance are having trouble showing up when inside a div or column. I removed the div and the rating summary element showed up just fine down the page near the reviews themselves.

Inside the product builder it’s still not showing up. I moved it above the product builder and it shows up fine. The breakdance product builder encompasses the entire top area including the images, product title, description, price, etc. Since I want my rating just below the product title, it has to go inside the product builder so the site review summary element does not work. I tried the shortcode provided and it works fine inside the product builder, so I will use it until you can fix the breakdance elements.

I am unable to replicate this. The Rating Summary works correctly for me both in and out of a Column or Div in Breakdance v2.8.1.

Also, if you have the WooCommerce integration enabled then the WooCommerce “Product Rating” element will display the rating info from Site Reviews (i.e. you don’t have to use the Site Reviews “Rating Summary” element below the title).

If you would like me to help you troubleshoot this further, here is what you can do:

    1. Edit your Single Product template in Breakdance
    2. Open the Structure panel
    3. Click the menu icon and “Copy All Elements”
    4. Paste the content here in a Code block so I can copy/paste it into Breakdance and test.
    5. Screenshots are also helpful.
