Thank for this slick and useful plugin.

I have set up a number of courses, which are exhibiting the same behaviour relating to the Resume button.

Note: I have set up the Resume button in a (Right sidebar) widget on a user profile page. The widget does not appear on LearnDash Course / Lesson / Topic pages, which exclusively use Left sidebar.

When I am in a Course / Lesson / Topic, the Resume button functions correctly. As soon as I begin a quiz, I have observed, by moving away from the quiz and clicking the Resume button, that the Resume redirect now takes me to the next quiz in the Course.

(At this point LearnDash correclty tells me I must go back and complete the preceding studies. This confirms that the issue is not because I have accessed the later Lessons).

I hope that is clear enough to allow you to suggest how I might begin resolving this issue. At present, the course link above is to an Open course, so I hope it is accessible.

    Regards,
    John

    Hi John,

That’s an odd situation that we haven’t seen. The resume function is very basic; when the user is on a LearnDash post type, it just saves an identifier for that page, which it then links back to. So how it could jump someone forward in a course is pretty odd. Is there anything else that could be a factor, like potentially a cloned or moved quiz? Are Shared Course Steps turned on in LearnDash and could either quiz be used in multiple locations?

Thanks, for the swift response and useful suggestions. It was odd behaviour; I couldn’t think why it should behave that way, which is why I recourses to support, after much head-scratching.

I battled on and eventually wondered if it might be an issue with the Admin account (even though I’d set it up correctly, to no longer auto-enrol and cleared LD data for all courses).

I tested it with another user and it seemed to be working ok. Will do a more thorough check now, before bothering you any further!

    Regards,
    John

That’s good news. In general it’s risky to test user experiences with admin users; behaviour can always be different than what learners will experience.

Guess I just learnt that the hard way!

    Kind regards.
