Hi! When a member signs up, they automatically become a WP user? Or am I doing something wrong? When they are logged in at the site, they can access the dashboard.

Hi,

Yes even if they don’t subscribe to a plan they are registered users. Once they subscribe they become members.

You can use a plugin to deny dashboard access – Remove Dashboard Access.
