Regarding Rate my Post

    Hi My website is vegsoups.in. I have been using the Rate my Post Plugin for getting ratings for my articles and recipes. The page mentioned above has around 7 ratings. There are few more pages that have been rated in past. However, when I look in Google search, I can see the pages appear but their rankings are missing.
    I was worried as I saw other recipe/food websites show their ratings and reviews.
    It would be great if you could tell me what I am missing here.

    Hi,

    copying from FAQ:

    If rich snippets are not showing check that the structured data is valid here. If it’s valid than search engines probably don’t trust your website enough to show rich snippets. You can fix that by producing high-quality content.

    Thanks for a quick response. Google search shows rich snippets for many posts/ recipes of my website. As I said, it’s not showing the ratings even though the ratings exist.
    For example, moong dal soup recipe has ratings. It does appear in rich snippet (when search query is dal Ambi Soup) and as a page link of Google search but it doesn’t shows ratings/reviews.
    It would be great if you could guide me in detail as I am new to blogging.

    Hi @deeptisinghal,

    if you don’t have any errors in structured data, Google will decide whether to show rich snippets for each page or not. Nobody knows how exactly this decision is made but it has a lot to do with page-quality, authority etc. For more information about that I recommend searching Google’s Search Console Community: https://support.google.com/webmasters/threads?hl=en&thread_filter=(category:structured_data)

    Yeah I got to know what is structured data. And it seems there are no errors in it. For few queries, I see my posts appearing as rich snippets in the google search. But As I mentioned earlier, they have reviews/ ratings, but the rich snippet which google shows, it doesnt have a rating. So My issue is when my post has reviews, why doesnt rich snippet of it shows the reviews.
