Redirect users if empty required fields – No longer working

    Since updating to WP 5.2 and Woocommerce 3.6.3, the PB Toolbox option to redirect when field is empty is no longer working correctly.

    Profile Builder Version 2.9.9
    Profile Builder – Customization Toolbox Add-On Version 1.0.6

    The form will submit and update changed or incomplete fields, but the redirect remains enforced so it will not let the user move away from the page.

    I’ve tried disabling most relevant plugins, purging caches, etc.

    In my form the GDPR checkbox (empty) is the redirect trigger. However the box is checked for the user that has submitted the form at least once. So it seems the value is stored, but the redirect function is not disengaging.

    Only users with the manage_options capability are exempt from the redirect.

    Hello,

    I was able to replicate this issue and have submitted a bug report. You can expect a fix in one of the next few versions of the plugin. I recommend you disable this option until that is released.

    Thank you. Do you have an idea of the last WP version that works? This is a critical component of my project, so I’ll have to roll back.

    Also, if the Toolbox Add On is updated, will it prompt in the WP plugins list, or do I need to keep checking your website for the update?

    I rolled back to 5.1.1 and problem persisted. I disabled Woocommerce, and the redirect stays active (erroneously on user with complete profile), and the form and page content is missing (blank under the header). Enabling Woocommerce and disabling the Toolbox plugin makes site functional again (without the redirect feature).

    Hello @sevans917,

    The issue was fixed. Please go to the add-on page, re-download the add-on and replace your current version (the new version is 1.0.7).

    Currently our free add-ons do not have automatic updates but we are working on offering this functionality as well.
