Recaptcha API Javascript Error

    Hello,

    I’ve just added this plugin to get the v2 checkbox for Recaptcha, but the checkbox doesn’t show up in the form.

    I’ve done the following:

    – Installed the plugin
    – Removed the v2 keys
    – Re-added the v2 keys in “Contact Form” > “Integrations”
    – In “Contact Form” > “reCaptcha Version”, selected “reCaptcha Version 2” for Usage, “google.com” for Source, and saved
    – Added the tag “[recaptcha]” to the form and saved

    But the checkbox doesn’t appear on the form, instead I get these errors:

    – Network error getting https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?render=6Le[redacted]U1
    – JS error script.js:28 Uncaught ReferenceError: grecaptcha is not defined

    I check your website https://josephuspaye.com/
    Is NOT working should be https://josephuspaye.wordpress.com/
    Check you google domain and key’s

    I run Contact Form 7, but it’s not my personal site.

    Yes you get the message
    >There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.

    If you goto https:\\rvwing.nl and fill in my form it is working
    So typical I see the same problem that I have but I solve this to fill in my setup (screen copy)

    Select the version of reCaptcha you would like to use. You will still need to use the [recaptcha] shortcode tag in your Contact Form 7 forms.

    Select reCaptcha Usage:

    reCaptcha Version 2
    If you’re not sure if your country blocks Google then you may leave this as default. Otherwise, if your country blocks google.com requests then please select the suggested recaptcha.net alternative below.

    I can confirm that google.com is not blocked in my country. I have also changed the source to recaptcha.net but the issue remains.

    Looking at the documentation, it seems like the script that the plugin generates is incorrect.

    Under Contact > reCaptcha Version did you are you using the Default Usage or reCaptcha v2? Do you have any plugins that work with or modify WooCommerce? Have you tried installing the WordPress Health Check Plugin and following their documentation you should be able to safely disable all plugins except Contact Form 7 and reCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7 as well as switching to a default theme. This will ensure there’s no plugin or theme conflicts preventing the plugin from working properly.
