Would I be able to use the following code in the Read More label?

I would like to have the Icon-plus-circle showed below as my Read More label.

Also, how can I get rid of the gray background highlighted in red in the link above?

About gray background, I can’t say what is it. But check in General Options, maybe you have background on gallery elements
