I am considering this plugin for a client.

I see that the admin can create email lists. However, if I am using another plugin that lets me register visitors and tag them to a category – can I then search for user by category and then send an email to a certain category/group of users.

Can I use this program in conjunction with something like this:

or
https://usersinsights.com/wordpress-user-groups/

So that I can sort them by the category groups that are added to their profile and then send emails that way.

This is another option that I might use with Paid membership pro.

https://usersinsights.com/

However, the groups would need to be tied in to the sorting and selecting functionality of your email plugin.
